President Trump: The Final Nail in the Coffin of the Global Environmental Agenda?
Posted On: November 13, 2024
But the seismic change brought on by the election of Donald “drill baby drill” Trump on Tuesday as U.S. president-elect an avowed ‘climate denier’ and whose campaign has already promised to withdraw from the Paris Agreement a second time must leave the West’s faithful devotees of the Church of Climate aghast. A second Trump presidency together with a Republican senate majority will bring about what finance and energy consultant Doomberg calls a “whirlwind that is about to befall the progressive environmental Left [th . . . Azerbaijan’s COP29 Speech: A Masterclass in Irony So Thick, It’s Flammable
Posted On: November 13, 2024
Azerbaijan hosting COP29 is the perfect encapsulation of why no one takes these climate conferences seriously anymore. They’re not about saving the planet; they’re about playing politics, appeasing donors, and virtue signaling on a global stage. Aliyev’s speech was a reminder that behind all the lofty rhetoric is a steaming pile of contradictions.Re Posted From: Azerbaijan’s COP29 Speech: A Masterclass in Irony So Thick, It’s FlammableWatts Up With That . . . Costco Recalls 80,000 Pounds of Butter Since Label Didn’t Say ‘Contains Milk’

Chances are high that people with dairy allergies already know not to buy butter. So, why would consumers who intentionally selected the creamy goodness want to return or trash it?Re Posted From: Costco Recalls 80,000 Pounds of Butter Since Label Didn’t Say ‘Contains Milk’Watts Up With That . . . [

‘Animal Protein Overconsumption’: UN Climate Confab Attendees Urge Countries to Implement Tax on

COP29 Will Be Haunted by the Ghost of the President Yet-to-Come
Posted On: November 12, 2024
One can hardly blame the representatives of developing countries turning up at Baku and asking for free money for bad weather. The island states will be there in force claiming rising sea levels will sweep away their coral and sand bank homes. Again, substantial handouts will help assuage consciences. It must be hard to keep telling these fibs to halfwitted journalists and politicians when all the scientific evidence suggests that most tropical islands in the Pacific are growing by natural accretion. But no doubt the cash will be put to good . . . [

Misinformation: The Fictional Foe of Free Thought
Posted On: November 12, 2024
Misinformation is not a real phenomenon; it is a rhetorical tool used to discredit opposition and enforce conformity. The recent study by Lewandowsky and his colleagues illustrates how this term is weaponized to suppress dissent and promote narrative control. By teaching people to uncritically accept the dominant narrative, the study does not combat misinformation—it perpetuates it.Re Posted From: Misinformation: The Fictional Foe of Free ThoughtWatts Up With That . . . COP29 Preview: Hot Talk vs. Reality
Posted On: November 12, 2024
Remember COP28? Forget about it. Most everybody else has. This is COP29, Nov. 11-24, 2024, the 29th annual international greenwashing gabfest about the world’s promised actions to deal with a climate being changed by man-made global warming. Most of those meetings have had little real impact, generating more heat, rancor, posturing, and light — and sometimes state-sponsored repression — than measurable movement toward significant reductions in emissions of greenhouse gasses, primarily carbon dioxide (CO2).Re Posted From: COP29 Preview . . . Climate Litigation: The Dutch Case and a Pattern of Vexatious Lawsuits
Posted On: November 12, 2024
Climate lawsuits like the Dutch case reveal the folly of allowing ideologues to dictate policy through legal harassment. If left unchecked, this trend will do far more harm than good—eroding institutions, stifling progress, and undermining trust in the very systems that activists claim to protect.Re Posted From: Climate Litigation: The Dutch Case and a Pattern of Vexatious LawsuitsWatts Up With That . . .
