Panic in the Greenhouse: Guardian Shrieks as Climate Gravy Train Derails

Panic in the Greenhouse: Guardian Shrieks as Climate Gravy Train Derails

Let’s face it: the NCA and its incestuous network of climate “experts” have long functioned as an echo chamber for worst-case modeling, doomsday predictions, and lucrative consulting gigs. Scrapping it isn’t the apocalypse—it’s spring cleaning.Re Posted From: Panic in the Greenhouse: Guardian Shrieks as Climate Gravy Train DerailsWatts Up With That . . . [More]

Geothermal electricity generation

Geothermal electricity generation

Posted On: April 12, 2025
Geothermal power stations are mature technology with proven performance, reliable operation and ideal for baseload generation. The units are synchronous, so they support the grid.  The production from them is considered by most to be renewable. They do not use fossil fuels to provide the heat. It is not “carbon free”, but no generation truly is. It has a relatively small footprint, environment harm is low, and it can coexist with farming or industrial development. Most developments have a cheaper energy cost than onshore wind, using publis . . . [More]

Climate Change Weekly # 540 — ‘Cheap’ Wind and Solar Raise Electricity Prices

Posted On: April 12, 2025
Multiple studies have demonstrated wind and solar power remain more expensive than historically traditional sources of electricity, such as coal, natural gas, nuclear, and hydropower, and Energy Information Administration data back that up—disproving claims by renewable energy profiteers and their lobbying groups. As coal plants have been prematurely retired and replaced by wind and solar, prices have risen and reliability has declined. “Green” Fuel May Contain Palm Oil

Posted On: April 11, 2025
Years ago, some bright sparks decided that using palm oil to produce biodiesel would be good for the planet, as it would avoid the need for carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels. We have since found out about the environmental catastrophe that resulted. Now the plot thickens. Supposedly HVO could be made using the waste oil, but (surprise, surprise) crooked operators are seemingly using virgin palm oil instead!Re Posted From: “Green” Fuel May Contain Palm OilWatts Up With That . . .
